Should we not have our nanny come? We are both going to be working home with a 2 year old and 4 year old. No way we can workout without help. -New Poster

Hi OP,
I would tell her that you are worried about her health and the health of your family. Given the current recommendations, you don't want her to feel obligated to come to work and risk her safety. As such, you are paying her as normal but she is not required to come in until 2/3/4 weeks from today. Again, reiterate her pay will be same.
One other suggestion - are there any remote tasks you can give her? Like looking for kids camps, things for home, etc.?

OP, good for you for hiring a nanny who watches Fox. We couldn’t do that. I want my kids learning good values, not to hate people who are unlike them.

OP, just blame it on your pediatrician if you think she will be hurt.
Our nanny does know what's going on, but she thinks it's insane/ridiculous/all of the world leaders are totally overreacting (in her eyes). It can be frustrating to deal with.

Op here. Ummmm we’ve offered her tons of opportunities to further her education and she’s not interested. Not sure how this is relevant to my question. The anger and close mindedness about how people think on here is insane. I can still love my nanny as a person and trust her and not agree with her life choices if they aren’t dangerous to herself, my family, or society. She’s on her way to church right now and then will eat at her buffet place as always. No news (I.e. Fox) will tell her otherwise right now.

I was wondering that also, but I think OP had hard time finding the right words to explain how the nanny would feel. She must be the sort of nanny who shows up in snowstorm pushing someone's car.
It’s hard to put into words but yes, she has missed two days for illness is 6 years and actually did help our neighbor dig her stuck car out of our hill once. So yes she’s that kind of person.
