PP again. The nicest hotels I have been to in Florida are Four Seasons Orlando, Setai and St Regis Bal Harbour.

I used to live in NYC so I didn't actually stay at the hotels but Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, St Regis, Four Seasons and Lotte Plaza are supposed to be luxurious. I have been to all of them but not stayed at the actual hotel overnight.

Looking for same, OP.

I have on my list as maybes:

Kiawah
Woodloch
Sea Island
Salamander
Nemacolin

We will probably go to a few of those this year as we also have no trips booked.

While not necessarily luxury, I liked Hotel Hershey, Mohonk Mountain House, Bethany Suites and Icona at Avalon as driving resorts.

I have been disappointed with Hilton OC, Homestead and Hyatt Chesapeake Bay.

I hope I can get some ideas from this thread.

I can vouch for:

Mandarin Oriental NYC - amazing views, great spa, great location

Setai in Miami - super elegant and quiet, amazing views, amazing spa and AMAZING people watching

I haven't stayed at the Faena in Miami, but I have walked through and it is beautiful.

Definitely Montage Palmetto Bluff. There is so much to do on the property (I’d love to live in the community there full time): kayaking, biking, spa, hiking, golf, and excellent food. Plus, you’re half an hour away from Savannah and Hilton Head. It’s beautiful!

I was just going to recommend that if you are up for a long drive. it looks amazing and I have heard great things about it. if that is too far, maybe Inn at Perry Cabin
