The competition between coworkers for the “best” clients and assignments, as well as salaries.
The cult-like mentality that surrounded one storied supervisor.
The farce of acting like we’re all on the same team even though everyone was so out for themselves.

Hard to decide if I was happier to leave my incompetent manager, or his boss, the Trump-loving racist.

I am looking forward to leaving
I love my job, my coworkers. I do not like the useless manager. I have said I am no longer learning anything new. Told them that I would like to keep my other skills fresh. I even asked for a transfer to a different supervisor.
This team has a lot of talented people. Management has no reason to be so useless

Working 60+ hours a week yet still getting the same salary for those working 40. Looking at you, Green Dot!

Actually, I take that back, I miss the carbonated water machine.

I feel like I might know you... ha!

My psychotic project manager who wasn’t even *my* manager but did their best to micromanage me.

Firing people. There is nothing positive about that experience. It's stressful, a major time suck and it has a way of putting the firing supervisor/manager under a microscope as well.

The horrific boss. She gaslighted me, was manipulative, and I literally had to hold back tears driving into the parking lot each day. It's taken me 2 years to adjust to sane management again.

I had a job like that once. I lasted 6 months and went back to my old job. Best decision ever!

You guys are lucky. I liked my last two jobs and was pushed out.

I hated at my last job the back stabbing snakes and fact they drew me into their web on decisions I did not agree with or risk being fired. Outright lies, work done by contractors way over budget they took credit for, firing people for being smart, dumb, disagreeing or whatever. I actually kept my few personal stuff in a box at work rather than desk and extra stuff I needed maybe at work in future in trunk of car or home as they would walk you out door no notice and not even let you take anything. Hated working several years at a place watching folks get walked out till my day came

My boss. She loved to get in little barbs at me to keep me in my place. She came back from a meeting with her boss toward the end of my time working with her. She told me that her boss praised a project that I'd completed and told her that I was a real asset to the organization. She then proceeded to tell me, "And I told him 'Well, she wasn't the first choice of the hiring committee, but I knew she was the right person for the job.'" What a bitch. I'm so glad I don't work for her anymore.

The fear of being fired. Being assaulted and berated by my supervisor. Getting bad reviews on things they told me I did an excellent job on (never in writing).

I do miss the soup in the cafeteria though
