Any more "exact" answers? $400 is quite a bit to me.
Your kits along without backpacks, warmups, etc will run 200 alone. If your budget is 400 i'd suggest doing a house league because I spend more that that on a weekend tournament.
The budget isn't $400. I'm asking if the cost closer to $2200 or to $2600...because $400 is $400.
I think I might depend on tournaments and hotel stays futsal indoor etc.
So at a high level, almost all clubs in this area will land you between 2-3k. That is much more than $400, even the volunteer coach for a travel team is going to cost you 1k.
I'll go conservative:
2k base fee for club
$200 Uni
$200 tourney fees and indoor
$200 for 1 tournment hotel cost
that still puts you at 2600
This, and if they have additional winter futsal that includes tournaments, that is also additional fees on top of this list. $$$
Thank you. I do know the average cost or expected cost of travel soccer, but I guess I was wondering if GFR was "cheaper" than Herndon for example or other teams in that area. Thanks again.
Just a quick observation, nothing in Reston is cheaper than Herndon, Great Falls has wonder woman living there so you know they are more expensive.

Anonymous wrote:I would stay away from BRYC seems to be way too much drama there, Mclean is a great option if you ds can make a top team.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I would drop Herndon from this list just for the 07 Group. The others are much better options. The 07 Barca team is...let's say...not good...they don't even play good soccer. Really shocking to me actually.
Are you watching the first team? It's tough to figure out from outside the Club since every age group has a different color pattern. Some guy was running his mouth about how another age group team they played last weekend was not good and they played long ball. This guy's team got crushed by the first team last year 6-0 in the same tournament. He did not know that the team he played in last week's tournament was a lower team with many completely new players that had not picked up the style so were struggling not to resort to long ball instincts. The first team was not even playing in that tournament and is a really great team.
The older teams regularly scrimmage local DA teams, including DC United and are very competitive with them. Games are always within 1 goal either way.
They do not have a large player pool so it can really drop off after first team. This is a problem for kids that have outgrown that team in skill and talent, but can't break into the first team. That is where the dissatisfaction comes in for some players. Most of the players I know on the first teams are very happy. Regardless, the coaching is solid no matter the team. But, if you are a good player on the 2nd team it can be frustrating.
They play in EDP. Most teams have moved up 2 divisions for the Spring. They are working their way up after coming in first in most age groups last Fall.
I made the comment a few hours ago about being surprised about Herndon not being strong. My son plays against Herndon and the 07 squad has always been competitive. I really hate the color naming schema.....prefer A,B,C or 1st, 2nd, 3rd team. Not like it matters to anyone else but the kids in the club.
