If you purchase the "Minted More" membership for $38, you receive 20% off all future orders, 30% off holiday cards (!!), and free standard shipping for all orders. Since I knew this year we'd want to send out holiday cards, this seemed like a pretty cheap no brainer. Minted is more expensive than Zazzle for paper invites, but all of their designs are really beautiful. We ordered 40 invites, addressed, and 40 insert cards (diaper raffle) for $114.
Diaper raffle? Talk about tacky.
Gosh, you're so kind. The insert clearly says "optional" and it's becoming a common thing to do at baby showers (along with the "bring a book instead of a card" trend). We're having twins, and know our guests. We wouldn't have done it if we thought it was in bad taste, obviously. Our friends have been SO excited to shower our first (and second) and it's something one of them suggested.
I sometimes think the people on this board have frenemies not friends. Ha ha!
Really! The book instead of a card thing is so tacky too. I hope you aren’t inviting any 40+ dinosaurs like me! Last shower I was invited to the momma wasn’t even married. Yes, that gives me pause too.

Anonymous wrote:We just did electronic for the shower. Our family members move around a lot, so keeping an updated address book is near to impossible, and tracking whether an e-mail invite has bounced back is a lot easier than hoping for a return to sender. If you have family members who send cards for everything and are definitely the hand written note types, send them paper invitations. Otherwise, most of your family and friends don't care. Most family members just send out facebook invites for birthday parties and events, so it wasn't outside the norm for us.
For our wedding we did paper with the option to send an RSVP card back, or a website to RSVP online, and the responses we got were 50/50. So you can always send out paper invitations and with the option to RSVP online to help make your host's job easier of tracking attendees.
I did still do hand written thank you notes. Although I'm personally fine with an e-card or text. When I send gifts, I mostly just want to make sure the recipient got it.

For real. You want a gift, and a box of diapers?
