No, you can't. Not in Maryland.

State law forbids HOAs from prohibiting or restricting the display of political yard signs within 30 days before and 7 days after the election.

Anyway, to answer the question -- standard-sized signs, on your private property, are allowed without restriction according to the law. Your HOA may have restrictions, but HOAs aren't that common in MoCo compared to some other parts of the country.

What is not allowed is signs on _public_ property like the median in the middle of a road. People do it, but it's not allowed in MoCo.

I’m not very political. I see both sides of some issues and could be swayed with a good argument on either side. But I do notice this dynamic is quite prevalent. And it turns me off to the liberal side more often than not.
