I got a CX5 a few months ago and I LOVE it!! Very smooth ride (better than the RAV in my opinion) and feels luxurious on the inside. Lots of safety features too. I test drove several compact SUVs and it was the best ride.

RAV4 is stylish, inexpensive, roomy and quite nice inside if you select nice finishes/upgrades.

CRV And Rav4 are the most sold vehicles for a reason. You get the best bang for your buck in terms of space, gas mileage, safety, engine reliability.

I have a CRV and expect to drive one for the rest of my life. It is the all-purpose vehicle at a reasonable price.

I really like my RDX - it was redesigned in 2019 so I would try to get one of the newer ones if I were you.

I’ve owned a RAV4 and an NX and I think the backseats are pretty comparable. The cargo area of the NX is definitely smaller, but I think the seating is very similar. Are you maybe thinking of the UX? The backseat of that is TINY.

I love the new crv and you can get it for $30K pretty much loaded. I’d also look at a used RDX - could get a lease turn in for $23K. They’re a very smooth ride.

We ended up going with the Outback because of the roomy back seat.

Another one to check out is the Mazda CX-5. The fully loaded version is plush, quiet, and - dare I say - luxurious. Better trunk than my Outback. But the backseat is noticeably tighter than the Outback.




OP here, that wasn’t my comment about the back seating. I think the NX looks promising. I hadn’t really considered luxury models but might be worth it for the comfier, quiet ride. The CX-5 is intriguing to me too. I’ve heard good things from coworkers who drive them.
