Not true. Friend's kid started rowing in 9th. Not athletic at all. Had never rowed. Tall, for sure. The Hs is not a top program. By junior year was being recruited by D1 schools.

Have your kid do TBC summer rowing or whatever the one in VA is called. Have child look at stats for college rowing teams. Example...go to Princeton Crew website to look at rower stats or whatever schools. It is a great sport for recruiting. Good luck to your child. AMA
