I am also an Elizabeth and I loathe the name Libby. Ha.
But I also don't use a nickname. People have always tried to foist Liz on me, but I'd never introduce myself as Liz. I do realize that 4 syllables is a lot. But I also think if you don't intend to use the full name, why give it to your child?
PP here. I also go by Elizabeth I just like Libby. I loathe Liz and that is what most ppl try to use. My personal fav. is when I introduce myself and the person immediately replies "so what do you go by?" LOL

Anonymous wrote:Elizabeth. Olivia is overused and I like that classic names are circling back. Might not use Libby, but I’m of the feeling that kids (and their friends) will decide their own nicknames. That being said, I love Elzie as a nickname.
