Well, I had mine at 28 and 33, and didn’t notice any age-related differences in ease, tiredness, etc during the pregnancy or after the birth.

I had my first at 27, another in my mid thirties and my last at 40. The first pregnancy was actually the hardest for me because of pre-e and HELLP syndrome, which left me and my first child with severe complications after (very early) birth. My body bounced back easier from #1. Maybe I was a little more tired with the other two, but I also had my life a bit better organized and a bit more $ to hire help - so honestly I'd have to say that #1 was the roughest.

Wouldn’t the second pregnancy and recovery be affected by already having a kid? Although I actually felt much better and more well-rested after having my second (but I was neither young nor old).

I had my first two at 30 and 32 and then surprise number 3 at 42. When I found out I was pregnant I was shocked and almost melted down as I was fully preparing for the teen years and beyond. But my husband got me off the ledge by saying I was an awesome mom and this baby was going to be so lucky. It is definitely more tiring being a new mom at 42 but it was fun to have a whole new group of younger parents in our lives. I’m now 55 and empty nester-hood is still a few years away...and delayed....but I can not imagine my life without #3. That girl has kept me young!

I had mine at 24, 28, 32, and 36. The 1st two pregnancies were so easy. 3rd was the toughest because I had some back pain. 4th was easier but not as easy as the ones in my 20s. Each one took a little longer to bounce back from. For me, the baby stage has gotten easier each time.

What a wonderful surprise! I can't imagine at just 41 and feeling tired...but wow, congrats.
