I started buying bigger clothes and kept going up in weight. So if you are up to it, use this to motivate yourself to eat less and exercise more. Bigger clothes just made me forget to try.

I have a few pairs of leggings for the days when my standard corduroys are feeling snug. I wear the leggings with a long sweater so they are office appropriate. They're also handy for the days when I go from the gym to work and have to pack them in my gym bag - they don't wrinkle when rolled up!

Don't buy bigger jeans. Wear the too tight jeans, and think about how tight they are every time you debate a carb/drink for the foreseeable future. Do this until they are too loose to be appropriate.

Don't buy bigger clothes unless you literally can't close the jeans.

Buying bigger clothes only makes it less likely you'll lose the weight.

Once I hit my mid-40s, it didn't make a difference.

Take an elastic hair tie and loop it through the hole that goes in the button. Attach to button. Wear loose tops. Cut out cabs and drinks. Good luck

Switch to dresses while you work it off. But force yourself to try on those jeans every 3-5 weeks.

I switch to jeggings.

I go on a diet. My fat jeans being tight is where I draw the line.

I'd go to Target/Marshalls/etc and get a pair of reasonably cheap jeans. Hopefully wouldn't be in them for very long.
