I think it sounds like a stripper name.

I think of the 2006 horror movie “Slither.” Elizabeth Banks plays a character named Starla. It’s a good movie, so I like the name.

I rather like it, although I admit the first thing I thought of was the character in Arrested Development. That's not likely to be something she'd have to worry about with her peers, though.

It sounds like a name you'd hear in the deep south or in Appalachia. Or in Frederick or Calvert Counties.
