This is ridiculous. NO she cannot get a restraining order! And what a waste of the court's time if she could!

Unless you are an attorney, don't give such stupid advice.

Following her around when she changes location and filming her? It's at least harassment. I'd talk to a lawyer OP.

Or get there early and sit in between other people.

Or bring a friend and have a neutral conversation. I'm not sure if filming is treated the same as recording a conversation if you intend to use it as evidence of something, but in some states he'd need permission from both parties.

Or as others have said, totally ignore his presence, unnerving as it is. He'll get tired of doing this after awhile.

As for the blowing up, I don't think that's going to cost you custody for one instance. Just don't do it again. He's obviously found a way to push your buttons. Don't let him.

Blow up at him and who cares. He's STALKING you!

I try and he'll quietly move and sit next to me.

Bring a few friends and ignore him.

Blowing up in public on camera is a great way to lose custody.

I love the idea of a “customer battle.” When you get divorced you should be able to leave a review for the next person, like on Yelp.

Can you get up and go get a soda? Or bring a friend?

You can't get upset in front of the child. That is not good and he can use it against you in potential upcoming litigation. Big no-no.

By following I mean he sits next to me and if I move, he does. He doesn't say anything.

Maybe the therapist said it’s important for your DS to see you sitting together?

This is my least favorite advice from our therapist. I felt nauseated every single time we did it. And I don’t think DD actually benefited from seeing us sitting together. However, her dad doesn’t even come to her events anymore.

It sounds like to me you're saying he didn't say anything and got under your skin. You can't let him bother you. Why would you say you need a restraining order? Just move on.

You are feeding the narcissist energy by showing that he bothers you. Become a gray rock and ignore him. With time he will get bored and leave you alone. But be prepared for him to escalate and making it worse before it gets better.

Also, ask some other parents to sit around you so he doesn’t have room to sit near you.

Can you just ignore him? It seems like the easiest solution
