I’m sorry OP. Your kid sounds like they have worked very hard. UVA isn’t the only good option, and where you attend to college matters less than what you do there.
High demand for CS majors. Many options out there.

OP here. Thank you for your sympathy, but I'm not actually the person that posted that UVA comment. All is good. We're still in the AP class decision mode.

My Senior soon to be comp sci major took AP Lang and Honors English 12. She took AP Comp Gov which she thought would be much more interesting to her and also include lots of writing. Several acceptances so far..waiting on a few ivies.

11th: APUSH, AP CALC BC, AP "Science"TBD, Adv Comp Sci AB (post AP)
12th: AP US Gov, MatrIx algebra/multivariable calc (post AP), AP Science TBD, AP Econ (personal finance reqirement)
Doesnt include possibilty of AP stats or AP Spanish. Damn selective colleges!

We agreed that 4 was the limit per year for my son. AP Eng didn't happen. He is in engineering school now.
