Non fat half and half is terrible for you. Coffee with a splash of half and half is fine while fasting. There is no fasting police. The goal of IF is redice your calorie intake. If your only calories between 6pm- noon is 35 worth of half half you are doing fine and the benefits will be the same (if you benefit)
The problem with nonfat half-and-half is it is essentially milk, sugar, and thickeners. The carbohydrates will usually break your body's state of fasting, even in a small amount. There is also controversy regarding non-caloric sweeteners because some people think it stimulates an insulinogenic response in the same way sugar would.
