She wants a parent for her kids. DH and kids are super appreciative of me after this post. I am also the other household staff - chef, nanny, manager, chauffer, tutor, therapist, event planner, organizer, recycler, faishion consultant and beauty technician for my kids.

As a wife and a SAHM what do you think my DH thinks I do? More than what I do at home? Am I the - house manager, baby produing womb, family relationship manager, holiday planner, financial planner, valet, sex worker, hostess, escort, friend, cheerleader, cook?

This is mind boggling but I hope she gets someone. I am more curious why she is single.

I thought the interview was great. She acknowledges that these are things that tons of women/moms already do, even on top of FT jobs, and she is willing to pay someone quite well to do it for her. One of the best external-perspective summaries of "mental load" that I've seen...I say good on her for being so open about her family's needs and preferences. Heck, if I lived in the Bay Area, I might consider applying - who knew college club water polo would come in handy?!

I bet there’s room in their house. Why would you want that instead of the pool house?

The “River swimming” must be a west coast thing because here you might swim in a creek or at a “swimming hole” or around a boat but no one “fights the current” in a river like the Potomac or they die.

She’s probably an intense woman but at the end of the day she wants a stay at home parent who plans vacations, activities and cooks... all while kids are in school most of the day and there’s an au pair to help out. Good for her for being thorough

I do all of this....for free! Plus I have a FT job on top of that and I'm a single parent. I think the ad was overly specific but I've worked as a nanny for a few families like this. I am surprised she doesn't have 24/7 childcare help because most UHN worth families do. Maybe that's where the au pairs come in?

It’s overly wordy but I get the idea. She wants a college educated athletic person who understands nutrition. And she’s offering free housing which in Menlo Park is helpful. I’m sure she will find the right person. Sounds like SAHM mom she needs.
