I’d call the police. Then Safe Shores.

Whatever you do, keep your DD safe. I’m a survivor. My parents did not protect me until an ER was involved.

I'm so sorry, but the adults providing care for her failed her miserably. Proper supervision was not provided. There should not have been an opportunity for this to happen. The denial is because they know they are at fault - NOT the other child.

Anything is possible if that other 3 year old was abused but there is more to the story. OP needs to go to the ER now and call the police and child welfare.

I’m so sorry, OP. I disagree with going to the ER. That would just make this more traumatic than it needs to be. The goal here should be to avoid increasing trauma and stress on the child. This means using experts like those organizations recommended above and getting their advise. Then decide on action like CPS/police. Also, a call into a child psychologist on an urgent basis can be helpful.

If the child was penetrated and there is evidence you go to the doctor or ER. Too late for the doctor.

I am so sorry that you are dealing with this!

This. Do not talk about this with anyone at that school. They never make your child the priority. All they want to do is pretend to be innocent. But they’re extremely negligent.

I wish OP would name the school but I understand why she wouldn't.

Pull her out. Call the police and child welfare and take her to her ped or the ER. The boys will not be moved. Its highly unlikely a 3 year old did it. Could be but doubtful. There is far more to this.

PP here whose DC was also assaulted. I should have said that it's not wrong that you might want to keep your DD in the school. Our therapists recommended that so that the perpetrator didn't "win" -- take the school away from DC. In our case the perpetrator was an adult so it was much easier for the adult to leave. It was really hard being there after what happened and it took awhile before DC was able to get back there, but I'm glad that DC was able to stay with familiar teachers and friends and with sibling also in the school.

Don't trust the school, DCPS, or OSSE or the DC government to be on your side. Do everything the PP's advise, including a lawyer. File your own police report. Sadly, BTDT, though thankfully physical not sexual assault, still bad, but somehow never seemed quite as horrible.

Hugs, OP.

You've gotten good advice here, OP. Safe Shores is a good idea but here's another option if you can't get in there or prefer a different location: https://childrensnational.org/departments/child-and-adolescent-protection

https://sboe.dc.gov/page/office-ombudsman-public-education may be valuable to you as well.
