PP, how do you wear the short sleeve ones? I could never wrap my head
around the concept of short sleeve sweater. If it is cold enough for sweater
then it is too cold for short sleeve.

It is kind of like having a swimsuit made of fur.

Agree. It looks ridiculous too.

I have a couple. I wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. Love them.

Way, way too many. I have purchased several this season and have a problem getting rid of things from past seasons, as I do still wear them. Very problematic!!!

Oh no. I fear that. Most of my sweaters are wool or cashmere. How do you prevent moths.

Clean out your closet semi frequently. As in vaccum and wash all surfaces: all shelves, drawers, wall crevices, etc.

In the spring, wash or dry clean sweaters then store in space saver bags. I keep cedar satchels in my closet yr round. If you notice a hole in a sweater and you don't want to toss it, put it in the freezer for a few days then repair the hole. I try to keep my sweater count to ones I'm wearing regularly. Items that sit undisturbed for a long time are the most likely to get attacked by moths. And cashmere is their fav, those fancy bastards.

I have:

3 Scottish sheltland sweaters
3 cashmere pullovers
1 thick Irish hand knit
1 donegal seater

I have a drawer dedicated to “lounge around the house” sweaters, rejects from the outside world due to holes or other imperfections, but perfectly warm. I have 6-7 of these.

Cashmere is the ultimate winter luxury. If I were rich, I’d drape myself in it all winter. I have about 7 cashmere sweaters and maybe 8 wool sweaters. I love the simplicity of a cashmere crewneck and it’s pretty much my winter uniform.

I am getting rid of most of the wool sweaters. They are lovely but no one really wears wool sweaters anymore and they're just scratchy and heavy. I will be sad as I've had most of them since college and that was 20 years ago!

No one wears wool sweaters?? Not true at all. Most high quality sweaters are wool.

DP but I used to have a couple cotton short sleeve sweaters that I liked. More of a spring/fall item. Hard to find something similar now.

Probably 20-30 but many of these are really old - some are ski sweaters I've had since high school and rarely use. I only really wear about 5 currently.

I have maybe 5-6 chunky sweaters, and 5-6 layering neutral sweaters. Most of those are thin cashmere or merino that I wear on really cold days. And then a few cardis.

I don't think I have a lot ...

About 12. I was actually worrying that I was getting a little obsessed with sweaters until I saw some of the replies here )))

And they are all new, I got rid of almost all of my old ones.

Five that i like. I recycle through them and always feel like I’m wearing the same thing! (Because I am!)
