"DH said I should do what I want and what makes me happy."
So, I would start by giving some thought to what he said. What would make you happy? What are your interests? What are your degrees in and what are your skills? Those are the things that will help determine what is the right type of job for you.
Look for a job that is in something that interests you or something where you can put your skills to work, but look for opportunities that give you flexibility and control so that you can make sure that the job doesn't add stress or external restrictions that will affect your family. Often these jobs pay less, and many people who want such jobs will not be able to take them because they have to rely on their income to help support their family. You don't have that restriction, so you can consider either challenging or less compensation to take a job that interests you.
I've known people who took part-time jobs in local politics, some working for volunteer or non-profit jobs and others who worked for schools who all loved their second career. But it all starts with you. What are your interests and what do you enjoy?
