The only thing he does wrong per se is that he’s not great at reading them emotionally and sometimes presses things at the wrong time.

Oh and he talks too much instead of enforcing whatever it is he’s asking for.

But overall he’s wonderful and we’re all lucky.

This was my father. It leaves lasting effects. Please get your kid out of there.

My ex moved halfway across the country and got remarried and had a few younger kids now. I took our DD to visit him for a few years after he first moved away it once he got remarried, he would make up excuses about why I couldn’t bring her. That went on for a few years and then I have up. I didn’t really have the money for these trips in the first place but I thought it was impossible that our DD see her dad. I give him a D and the only reason he doesn’t get an F is that he is okay about paying child support. He is often behind but he does try to catch up.
