I'm thinking the same thing. Calling someone a dog is a ME insult. OP, leave before you get pregnant. Please.

It is NEVER your fault that he calls you names. Even if you make a mistake (which we all do), you don't call each other names over that. He has no self-control and no self-awareness. Blaming his temper on you is wrong and it will only get worse as life gets more complicated and he feels more emboldened the longer you are together.

I would give him a firm ultimatum that if he treats you like that again, you are out. He should get into counseling for anger management and you should make an exit plan.

DO NOT (under any circumstances) have children with this man.

Are you also the same poster from other threads whose husband has cheated as well 10+ times and you are still asking people what to do?!

The verbal abuse is not daily, but it’s often. I usually get called filthy, dog, piece of dirt, etc, whenever I do something wrong. Sometimes I feel I deserve it. But other times I feel it’s uncalled for.

He’s really generous though. Always participating in charity and fundraising. He pays for all the groceries.

I’m really confused.

It will be ok, Melania.

Ok, sweetheart...

Leave now. Please.
You have no kids. You are SO free.
Once you have kids, you are kind of stuck.
Ask me how I know this.

The positives OP lists sounds like a typical power inequality dynamic. If he "teaches you many things" it smacks of a father-daughter type relationship. This is not healthy in a marriage and is unlikely to change. Your relationship is not going to improve without either
a. massive therapeutic intervention which will cost a fortune, or
b. you change yourself so that he respects you, or
c. you break up and perhaps salvage it as a friendship.
Don't have kids with him, I guarantee (from experience) it will just exacerbate the problem.
