My daughter got accepted to both mlk and Clemente last year and we heard from mcps in the mail around the third week of January.

Yes it seemed like almost everyone we know who got in round 1 was accepted to both. This probably helped MCPS say that they offered admission to kids from almost all 78 feeder schools. But then many many kids came from appeals and waitlist, which has replaced the old application system.

It’s been a few years, but for DS’s cohort, there were definitely kids admitted to both programs at Clemente (when both were housed there). That’s evidently where some of the gender skew occurred. The program/county tried to admit reasonably equal numbers of boys and girls to each program, but then boys admitted to both tended to choose Math/Sci and girls admitted to both tended to choose Humanities.

My DD with slow processing speed didn’t finish any of the sections. Does it say correct/wrong/unanswered, or just number correct?

It tells you the total number of questions, the number attempted by your student, and the number correct. My kid is somewhat slow with math and only attempted 36 questions, but got 35 of them correct -- that was more useful for me to know than just being told she got 36 out of 52 correct.
