I couldn’t stand it and didn’t make it past episode two. It’s the worst writing I have seen in a long time and simply dreadful acting. I can’t believe they renewed this crap.

I thought it was sweet and the leads had great chemistry.

ugh. I kept watching because I’m drawn in with how they deal with grief and post trauma. Was ready for the happy ever after. And it didn’t come!! Really, Netflix couldn’t wrap this up in 10 episodes? I feel so wronged.

I do think the main Jack (there’s always a Jack!) and doc are both fine acting. And as another pp mentioned, I appreciate seeing actors playing their age, wrinkles and all.

I watched the first episode because of the scenery, which turned out to be the show’s only redeeming quality

So funny you say that OP. Dh was watching it which surprised me. I told him that it reminded me of a Hallmark or Lifetime show/production. I didn't like it at all. Too "soap opera" like.

then again, he also loves The Ranch which I think is one of the worst shows I've ever watched.

I haven't seen it; but eighties Lifetime was Delicious. As a matter of fact, Lifetime should develop a network that showcase exclusively material form the eighties and nineties. Then there would always be something good to watch on TV.
