The whole season was setting up "who is Joe's mom" "where is Joe's mom" and she was reading a book by the pool which could foreshadow an explanation about how Joe is really into reading.
He seems to be excited about his relationship with Love and is definitely excited to be a dad. I don't see him cheating on her with the next door neighbor.
I think the exact opposite. In the last season he actually says it’s a prison and he thought this is what he wanted but this is not freedom. His personality will never change and he will always be a predator. He doesn’t want to be with Love but is only with her due to the child.
Well I'm not sure about his relationship with Love but I think he'll be a good dad, and I don't see him cheating on her to be with the next door neighbor. I think the neighbor is his mom.

I’m not sure about the woman , I was wondering who she was, the ending in the book was much different. In the book the store is a chain of grocery stores in California that was started by their grandparents. They might’ve said on the show but I don’t remember. In the book the twins are 35 and Forty has been wasting money for years on many failed movies he’s made, drugs, rehabs, and gambling.

Yes, I read You and Hidden Bodies when the first season came out and it was really nothing like the show. The characters had the same names and they had the grocery store and Joe and Delilah were neighbors and that was about it. I really liked the book but didn’t really like this season.

Really! I liked it so much more than the first.
The stereotypes for both cities are spot on. I kinda hate that the third season will also be in LA.

REALLY? I don’t find him sexy at all. He’s way too skinny and looks sickly.
In some scenes I find him insanely attractive (I think the sex scenes are hot) and in other scenes he comes off like you said, skinny and creepy. When his character goes off the deep end he has that way of smiling with his eyes all wide open and just looks crazed. He was really well cast for the role.
