You think? I’ve always heard it takes twice as long to take it off as to put on if you’re doing it sustainably.

Yuck. Eating those dates makes me sick to even think about!

I actually love dates! But, since I rarely eat sugar I felt the nasty sugar taste in my mouth whole night! Don't get me started on the orange slices! That is why I avoid sugar, it is all or nothing for me!

I don't weigh myself (history of somewhat disordered eating, doesn't help me to micromanage) but had a doctor's appt on 12/20 and asked if she'd noticed any weight loss since last year because I had some middle-aged pant tightening last year and have tried really hard to exercise and eat a little better. She said yes and that my BMI dropped so that's enough for me. I sometimes actually lose weight during the holidays because we travel to DH's family and their food SUCKS. ...then I return in January and make all the foods I wanted, so now is the time to be mindful! That said, even if I gained a pound or two I'm fine with it as long as I'm overall down from a year ago. Moderation is key and allowing no holiday splurge is a recipe for failure.

Same here but even longer. I’m giving myself a full week to eat better and reset and de-puff.

Up 6. The horror! When I'm working I usually do two small meals for breakfast and lunch but when I'm on vacation... plus it's cold and snowy and we're not very active.

I always think I’m up in weight after trips because of all the heavy restaurant food but I never am and it has to be because in between stuffing my face I’m walking constantly.

I'm up 2.5, but was already up another 3 lbs after a bout of pneumonia this fall that left me unable to exercise for weeks. I'm just starting to get back to exercise and already feel so much better.

I stepped on the scale after a week with my parents and almost had a heart attack because I was up 5 lbs. Which made absolutely no sense because I'd run 5-6 miles every day of my vacation, and not eaten too badly.

My dad was convinced that I had actually gained 5 lbs. He has absolutely no idea how things work. (he is convinced that he gained 2 lbs in one day, and I was just shaking my head, trying to explain that it was likely water weight and not that he had somehow eaten 7,000 additional calories in a day.)

I stepped back on the scale and I was at my normal weight. Go figure.
