Magnatiles were very popular with my kids. The stupid Furreal Unicorn my oldest asked for 4-5 years ago and was like $90 and hard to find was a complete flop. It was just boring, she did like 3 things with it and realized it was limited to that and too clunky and big to just carry around and do anything else with.

Got my daughter an inexpensive "princess tent" for Christmas last year. She ran to it on Christmas morning - opened all her other presents in the tent. Hardly played with it at all this year. When we asked what her favorite toys are it is still number one. I don't get it. She loves having it even though she never seems to use it. Same is true of both kids' massive collections of stuffed animals I guess.

The only toys my son has reliably played w are toy trucks and LEGOs
Only toys my daughter plays with are dress up clothes and stuffed animals

Playmobile for us too. Really weren’t in to any kind of action figure
Magnatiles got years and years of use though
Marble maze - was on wish list for years and barely used once received

Magnitiles - my mom insisted buying them. I told her no, she bought them and they were never touched.

I feel like this happens with nearly everything I get my kids. Play kitchen, Lego table, train table, etc. Everything they’re obsessed with at other locations they do not care about at home after they play with it a few times.

Play kitchen and trains. Would have gotten rid of them but they were grandparent gifts.

The accessories to Target’s fake American Girl Doll. Just a bunch of junk.....except for the cool pink car.

In our house the magnatiles are probably the most used toy across 3 kids and 5+ years

Anonymous wrote:My kids were always just lukewarm on Magnatiles. And my daughter was never really into her Scandinavian wooden dollhouse (nor was my son when he inherited it).

My kid always enjoyed magnatiles at museums and libraries but they were very short-lived at home. He prefers to build small, intricate things with legos

Hot Wheels race tracks. They (two boys 4 and 6) loved playing with cars so I thought they would love a racetrack and building their own track but they haven’t really gotten into it. Played with it a few times and that’s it. Mostly play with their cars and Magnatiles buildings garages, houses for them, etc...
