No. Only rotten baby teeth that could not be saved got pulled and while a spacer was in the estimate, the advice was that they’re more trouble than not having one because when it falls out, they can’t be replaced. When it came time for surgery, the actions were much more conservative than the initial estimate of possible work, which is what we preferred. “Do no harm” really should apply to dentistry as well as medicine...

OP, get a second and possibly third opinion about this. One of my children was completely missing three of her premolars. What I mean by this is that they never formed and this is something that is hereditary that my grandmother also had. My grandmother ended up keeping her baby teeth into adulthood and then having a bridge made where those baby teeth were to fill the gaps in. My daughters jaw is so small that they removed the baby teeth where the premolars would go to make room for all of the other teeth in her mouth (large teeth and narrow jaw). She just rececently had to have one pre-molar removed to balance out her mouth so that her teeth are lined up properly. However, we have gotten several opinions about this before going ahead and doing anything (starting with the removal of those three baby teeth to begin with).
