My son took the HSPT on 12/7. We have not received his scores yet, but today he received a scholarship letter from one of the schools he is applying to for scoring in the top % on HSPT.

Has anyone received their official scores yet?

Thanks for looking, but that's not the raw score. There are 298 questions on the test, the raw score is how many correct out of 298.

Sorry but they were the only two scores on the report. Catholic schools enroll a lot of kids with different abilities. I think they use these scores more for class placement than anything.

Read thru this doc:

https://www.ststesting.com/hp_int_sts.pdfv

"N-counts, Standard Score Means, and Standard Deviations
As noted earlier, the standard score scale is an invariant measure based upon the 1980 national normative sample. This scale has the following characteristics:
• the average standard score is 500
• 700 corresponds approximately to the 98th percentile
• 600 corresponds approximately to the 84th percentile
• 400 corresponds approximately to the 16th percentile
• 300 corresponds approximately to the 2nd percentile"

That will vary from sitting to sitting.

I don't care if it varies, I am just trying to get a sense of raw score to composite percentile rank. How many correct (or how many can you miss) to get a percentile rank of 75? Or 90? Or 95? Or 99?

from last year's schedule - Archdiocese of Washington High School Placement Test

The results of the High School Placement Test administered on November 29 in ADW elementary and middle schools, and at ADW high schools on December 2, December 16, and January 6 have been delivered to the high schools. Score Reports will be released via email to parents and guardians on Friday, January 19, 2018. The test scores will be emailed to the primary address on the HSPT registration from results@ststesting.com. Parents/Guardians, be sure to add the sender's email address to your email filter so that the results will land in your inbox and not in your spam folder. For those parents/guardians who chose to have their child(ren)'s report mailed to the home address, the Score Reports will be sent by US Mail on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Delivery will depend on the schedule of the local post office.

The report we got a few years ago only reported the percentiles. No raw scores.
