As a newborn photographer, I’d definitely encourage you to email and ask if you could take a few more photos at a later date. I cannot imagine having done photos myself at just a few days postpartum! If I had a client who was upset with the results, I’d hope they would be honest with me. I would definitely return and try to make you happy, as long as you were nice about it. If your photog says no, schedule a spring mini shoot when you’re feeling more back to yourself!

Your a mother now. Toughen up and ask for a reshoot.
Unless a live event, it is absolutely the photographers job to make sure pleasing photos were taken.
