Nope. Your family sounds low energy. We like to be active.

The people I know like this IRL are all ADHD.

I spend time at home all day with my 2yo often. Older kids get home from school and we do homework, eat and hang out. It is rare that every member of our family has no plans outside the house on a weekend. My kids play sports, do scouts, do academic competitions and get invited to a lot of play dates and birthday parties. DH and I also often get invited to social outings with and without our family.

I’m talking about a no school/no work day. Whole family just hangs out. Could you do it?

Of course we hang out at home. We have over a week of nothing planned over xmas break.

Do you work? I don’t do everyday is a no school/no work day for me and my youngest child.

I have 3 kids. When we are home for too long, the kids start fighting. We like to be out and about and we love day trips.

My kids are older now, but when they were closer to those ages, I found we really needed just one focal point for the day. We have friends in Richmond and Charlottesville, so we've done day trips to both, but I agree with PPs that it's a long day (I have only done these with the plan to get home by bedtime). I've also done the B'more aquarium but it is pricey and we have had traffic from HELL going there and back which has made it just as long as if we'd gone to Richmond.

I'd suggest the library, a local bookstore or Barnes and Noble, a museum (you could make the trek to Udvar-Hazy if you were up for it), the movies, the US botanical gardens (which my kids LOVE), the zoo.

Yes, but this wasn’t the question from OP. They simply said that their kids would go stir crazy and needed outings that would be finished up by 1 pm so they wouldn’t be able to half the things that were suggested.

Hyperkidz is my/my kids current favorite and would work for your age spread.

Climb Zone is also great BUT even though there are bouncy things for the 2 year old, your 4 year old is likely to need help clipping and unclipping. Mine did-though he's not great with fine motor stuff. My back was killing me by the end of the 3 hour party we went to from bending down to help him clip/unclip. I can't imagine that with a 2 year old in tow. My 7 year old could do it completely unassisted, and a just turned 5 year old with us could do it on his own, too.
