Everyone knows the best moment of Christmas is coming downstairs and seeing all the wrapped gifts and being so excited to open them you can’t even decide where to start. Unwrapped and out in the open (unless it’s like a bicycle or giant easel or something) is so anticlimactic.
I am not impressed by parents who make their kids sit and wait for the boxes to be opened/wires and plastic clips to be cut/screwdrivers to be located to get the batteries in (which may also need to be located), assembly to occur. That kills that moment of seeing the gifts for sure.
