I really disagree with this comment. Self medicating ADHD with caffeine is a well known tactic and good in some cases. When my daughter was dagnoozed at age 10, the doctor suggested no medication for her, but did suggest targeted caffeine use. Her pediatrician later backed this approach and we did it successfully for many years. When we redid the neuropsychologist with a different doctor last year, she again suggested that tactic.
Caffeine is milder stimulant than prescribed medication, but it's a similar track.
