Honestly he should go watch a game and see how the team plays now. He will be responsible for winning the ball in the midfield. Can he bring down and control keeper punts? Can he defend the opposing mids and win the ball or force a pass back? Can he hit a moving forward or wing mid or defender with a one-touch pass and can he do it with both feet? Do those things and he will be as good as the best 12 year old miss.

People learn thru observation then practicing what they see. Not the only way to learn, but one of many waysto learn.
