My puppy was very farty, too.

He went to the vet with various diarrhea episodes and got an antibiotic. After a few rounds of this, we started experimenting with different proteins in the food (vet recommended). We also add pumpkin to his food everyday and use a probiotic by VetriScience. He's much better. We started with chicken, switched to lamb, and now he eats salmon. I'm not totally convinced that the lamb was bad for him. It's kind of a guessing game because they can't talk.

Now if his poop is a little runny, it clears within a few days and he hasn't had an antibiotic in a year, which is a record. If you do change his food, you have to do it very slowly or that will cause stomach upset. So you might think the new food isn't working either, but it's just an issue of a change happening too soon.

Get the puppy checked for worms first and then try another food. You might be feeding one that is too “rich” - contains too much protein or fat for your puppy to handle.

Not OP- but when a person in the room farts, she immediately walks over to that that individual-- if they are unlucky enough to be standing up, she tries to smell their butt.

No blaming the dog in this house.
