I think it's slightly different is you knew him from before. You had a crush on him and lalala. And now you guys are trying to see what happens.

You have to know that saying your first I love you via txt is just pathetic, right?

Time will tell. I don't feel pathetic. I know the dynamics. It was the right thing at the right time.

Same here. Only mine was borderline. But I have learned my lesson about guys who say I love you super soon. Might be different when women do it.

What's the saying - you'll regret the things you didn't do? That's me when it comes to this. She got away, and I never said it. Not that it would have changed anything, but I would have wanted her to know.

That being said, I would probably just let it be, and let him process it. If you press him on it, or force him to talk about it, he may feel trapped.

I'm happy for you, OP. Life is short.

Thank you. Will let it be. He is a very kind person. Patient. Wise. Understanding. Fearless. I believe things will continue. And I believe I did the right thing. I am sure he already knew anyway.
