Anonymous wrote:Our SYC U9 team beat PAC U9 in the championship yesterday at the McLean tournament . Their coach got so mad at one of his own parents. He sent her away from the field because she ran on the field to console an injured player. After the game we talked with the other teams parents. Many were glad. their coach sent off the parent, They were all saying she deserved it and has been a problem all year at every game. Jm not sure how things are run over at PAC. I know our club would drop the kid if the parent was a season long problem.

Was this the GFR 2009 team? I've never seen a coach scream and belittle her players as much as that coach.

I've tried several times to tell the parents to cool it, but ultimately I cannot force them and the coach has asked a few times for them to just enjoy and not yell. It has become youth sports culture unfortunately.
Anonymous wrote:It’s normal. My kid plays rec and everyone yells, but it’s mostly positive reinforcement or instructions. Some parents get ugly and us other parents try to shut them down. Being loud and yelling in general is part of soccer.
