Those Woom 3s are $$ - people are paying over $400 for the used ones on ebay right now!

We got my tall then 4 year old a woom 3. He’s 5 now and it’s still perfect.

We did a woom 3 at 5 yo after no balance bike - it took a while, an REI class, more work and she learned at 6 and took off. The REI instructor noted what a well made bike it was and in the end I think it did help increase the odds of success; made it more likely that she would keep trying. DH initially researched and bought it and I was not happy with the cost. That said I happily signed up for the preorder for 4s (she just turned 7) and we are using REIs approach to teach 5 yo son on her 3 now.

I feel so sad reading this after giving my DC a normal, non-woom bike for his birthday last weekend. It also cost $$$ and he definitely did not learn to ride it in 1 minute. But, beggars can't be choosers.

It is the lightest kids bike out there, had a lower center of gravity, and has a skinnier profile for the pedals, which makes it substantially easier for a very small child to balance. The hand brakes are also designed for very small hands, whereas many other bikes just put on regular adult sized hand brakes.
