That's 12% of the team from one metro area.

No, just Pipeline

FCV 05 would beat USWNT.

U15 boys team from FC Dallas beat the USWNT.

No they didn’t.

Mia Hamm played what 1 year in this area? She was literally just passing through.

+1. Thats like saying ABGC developed Bill Hamid

Hasn't Bill Hamid lived here his whole life?

The point may be about how long he played at ABGC, not how long he lived in the area.

The two freshmen from MD that had been in the younger NT camps are both third on their D1 teams in scoring. Also the basketball/soccer player from Good Counsel (Olney) lead her D1 with 6 goals...but doubt she is looking for NT.

Ahhh, the far gone, good old days. It’s fun to reminisce.

Never a peak in soccer . Soccer is not an American sport. 'Merica!

But there was a peak in DC soccer! All downhill from there.

i thought CA was.

In the 70s/80s— DC, Long Island and CA.

East Coast was big. You had Pele, Cruyff & Beckenbauer playing on East Coast for NASL in early 70s.

National Girls champs back then were predominantly East Coast.

This isn't only soccer but basketball, football, and swimming.

Sadly they can't keep the talent here so they all go to the schools that win national championships.
