Did he give you ANY info on the birds? When he purchased them? Ages? Vet records?

If I leave here tomorrow, will you take my unwanted birds?

Try posting on NextDoor to find them a home. Or take them to a shelter.

Both of these pictures are cockatiels. Neither bird is a lovebird.

Thank you very much.

That's the same bird, I just took two photos. The other one is a lovebird for sure, I know what they look like.

From my limited research yesterday I understand that lovebirds cannot be with other birds? On account of aggressiveness and territorial thing or whatever? And that they need to be with other lovebirds to be happy?

Ugh. Ugh. And the idiot doesn't know what they are or even if they are male or female!

We are near Tyson's Corner.

here's the other one.

OP, I posted the Phoenix Landing website earlier. Perhaps you could get in touch with them to both learn more about these birds and figure out your options.

That's not a lovebird. That's a white-faced gray cockatiel.

That was troll advice anyway. Where do you live? You can always give them to a shelter. Or, do you think your friend is (falsely) hoping to get them back once he gets back from aboard or finds a different place to live? Another option is to sell them, people love Lovebirds and I guarantee you they would sell quickly.

You need to have a serious talk with your hubby about him no longer being a pushover
