Arlington is a well-established club, close in, with access to good facilities and affluent families. They’ll keep doing better and better on both girl and boy DAs especially with most of the alternatives being outside the beltway.

Arlington 06 DA is actually pretty good with building up from the back and switching the ball. I watched one of their games, the right winger and attacking center midfielder are decent players.

So next year, DC united academy will basically be a rebrand of Loudoun DA teams? I hope they can get most if not all of talents in DMV area. We need something to be proud of, like Seattle, Dallas, LAand NJ/NY.

Regardless, they seem to be headed in that direction so DCU is out of the question for 99% of the DMV population.

Arlington to Loudoun is 35 min on Toll RD to Greenway (in HOV lanes). It's quicker than going 5 miles south on 395 in the evening.

BUT--it costs a sh*tload in toll $$.

The U14s are mediocre at best: 5-4-4, +1 GD (19GF to 18GA)

After that it's all down hill.

Not all clubs participate in that, but that's even more a reason for the DA to do it, since it practically already exists.
