And Arlington (DA team) lost in the Finals in the 2004 boy age group too.

That wouldn’t be Arlington DA if they played state cup. It’s likely a team with some former DA players playing in the gap year. Best 04s are playing 03 da and unable to participate in state cup.

It’s the same squad from their U15 DA the prior year. They only lost the “name” when DA wasn’t granted for older boys’ groups.

AKA NOT DA. Thanks for playing, though.

This makes me laugh. They were DA last year and the same team with no changes last year are not DA.

So is the current Arl U15 DA going to not be DA next year. Is the U14/13 DA there, not DA?

Personally, I never thought the quality was great there anyways. But- I just like to see people argue DA is the best and then justify when DA loses to mere mortals. Maybe because it was never the cream of the crop to begin with.

You win the craziest comment of the day!!!

NVSC is a good team and 3 of their players are PT for Arlington DA. But I'm not sure if NVSC would beat most DA and ECNL teams in the area. The speed of play is on another level and it takes a little while to get used to.

“Fcv is abusive and overrated!”
“McLean sucks!”
“VDA is terrible!”
“Loudoun is a joke!”
“Can bryc win a game?”
“Metro United is a rec team!”

“NVSC is a good team.” Lol @ this.

Uh huh. Here’s a more relevant quote from the article:

“On the other hand, many US Youth Soccer affiliated state associations across the country are still objectively the premier competitive platforms in their markets, especially in lesser-populated areas with little to no ECNL or DA presence. And even in many larger markets, top clubs all over the country still take a great deal of pride in competing for State Cup titles, and find ways for their best players to participate through dual rostering – a loophole made possible as US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer each have direct connections to U.S. Soccer, and therefore cannot regulate each other’s individual player registration statues“

Depends on the gender, age and state. By U16, the top 50% of ECNL/DA teams are just stronger than the best indy teams.

Hysterical! Literally the funniest thing I have seen on here in a while.

However, you got what you wanted - a reaction to an outlandish comment.
