No. What would the treatment difference be?
NP. My 12 year old daughter had this chronically around her nose and sometimes chin. Perioral dermatitis. 100% successful treatment for her is taking probiotics- specifically Florastor.
My son had eczema and we used the young living lavender lotion which cleared it up right away. I would put it on as soon as I saw him rubbing the insides of his elbows and behind his knees, when the eczema rash was just starting.
Another poster who was going to suggest that this may not be eczema. Perioral dermatitis classically shows up under the nose (peri-oral - literally means around the eyes and mouth). It most frequently hits women and young girls. I got it for the first time in 2nd grade. People who get eczema are more prone to perioral dermatitis. Hears the rub: the precise cure for eczema is the worst flare for perioral dermatitis: cortisone. But they look almost identical. My only guaranteed cure for P-O D is antibiotics, but i'm currently attempting to navigate a flare with apple cider vinegar (which makes it worse before better).
