Cadbury but NOT USA Cadbury is my addiction. I've learned that if the first ingredient is sugar instead of milk it tastes like total crap. I don't understand why this country can't get proper chocolate right.

Neuhaus is good, and I also saw that Hotel Chocolat is coming to Union Station soon, and that is worth a try. It's very hard to find good chocolate here, though! There is a 70% bar in Trader Joe's that I like - worth trying a few of those, and try to find the ones where the only ingredients are cocoa solids, cocoa butter and sugar (plus maybe vanilla) - the addition of soy lecithin really changes the taste and texture, but is unfortunately very common here.

Try Gearharts. The truffles are unbelievable and are made almost locally in Charlottesville, Virginia. You may be able to find them at some specialty stores in NOVA as well as Whole Foods. I live in Richmond so I have pretty easy access. It is now my absolute favorite chocolate.

Yes, my bad. I was thinking of Kirchmayr. I watched a t.v. program about Baltimore attractions, and this chocolatier was one of the featured businesses. Afterwards I drove out to the shop, one hour out of my way. Incredible chocolates, but very expensive. I'll go to some lengths for excellent chocolates.

I know Neuhaus is out of Baltimore. Has anyone had any other chocolates out of Baltimore? Someone offered me candy from a Baltimore chocolate store some months back, and the pieces I ate were amazing. I didn't pay attention to the name of the store, unfortunately.
