Help me understand why this term is a problem. Magnet schools, by definition, draw from across a school district over traditional attendance boundaries. Some have entrance requirements/exams, others don’t.
Aren’t some of the DCPS high schools that use an exam to determine entrance rightly called a test in magnet school?

No matter how much you clutch your pearls, there are still going to be smart kids getting into good colleges who were not in a K-8 gifted program that you seem to think is so essential.
Do you realize there are no gifted programs in DC?
Yes, but I read the original post and listed an argument I don't want to read again. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:test in magnet
Wrong forum, there are no magnets in DC.
You're right. But there are always posters who say that is what is needed in DC for them to enroll Larlo/Larla ...
You forgot Larze
i applaud you.
Appreciate it! I actually kind of like the "ze" construction as a singular pronoun for someone who doesn't want to identify as male or female. The use of "they" is very confusing, especially when multiple people are involved.
