We had a blindfolded food taste test at my DD's 11th. Split the kids into two teams and have two from each team try to guess the what the food is. We kept it pretty mundane with things like grapes, strawberries, cheddar cheese, kiwi, chicken, etc. but the girls had a great time. We had a box of sour cream and onion dried crickets on the table and I told them it probably wouldn't be one of the items. Then gave them sour cream and onion popcorn. The reactions were priceless.
It's an inexpensive activity that is a lot of fun and you can drag it out as long as you want... just need to prep the items ahead of time. Also, be sure to check with parents about any food allergies.
