Grosse Point Blank has accomplished nothing and should find a gig more befitting of her bland inaction.

Brianne kept talking about Oakland and the decline in murders.

What she didn't state was the improvement began after Oakland repaired the police force which it had allowed to declined then the murder rate dropped. She admitted that closure rates and fear of arrest is the biggest deterrent to crime.

Violence Interrupters? You just have to take their word for it.

I’m in a place where I can’t play a video. Can you give the highlights, or rather lowlights?

If you have contact with Brianne please let her know that some of the “Violence Interruptors” are straddling the fence and using their position to share confidential information about procedures employed to fight crime in the community.

You think her former gun toting staffer wasn’t working as a source of confidential information?

It’s a game and you’re being played.

The DC Council could send a very strong message to the Bowser administration, insiting it move forward on a north-south protected bikeway on 9th Street NW through downtown and Shaw, under a new emergency bill slated for consideration December 3. Councilmember Brianne Nadeau (Ward 1) wrote an emergency bill to get it moving.

The Council already stipulated that bike lanes should be on 9th St in previous legislation back in 2015.

DDOT is supposed to install bike lanes any time they major road work on a designated street. They've conveniently ignored installing the bike lanes in Shaw after churches complained that it would impact parking on Sundays. These are prime constituents for Bowser, many of whom are voters or major campaign contributors (even if they live in MD). The money was appropriated, the preliminary designs were approved, and then.....nothing. The Mayor's office froze it.

According to the article, DDOT did the same thing on Florida Ave NE - a notoriously dangerous stretch of road. DDOT didn't move until a few people were killed in recent years in high profile accidents.

All in all, I often question WHO this Mayor represents. Bike lanes have taken on this lens of racial identity for many older Washingtonians when, in fact, I see people of all colors utilizing them on a daily basis to travel safely.

Nadeau is a quasi-Commie who will be defeated at the next election.
