Now that is a great idea. Except I would feel guilty for not telling the woman before she marries him. I opt for calling her up or contacting her somehow so she at least has knowledge.

Agree that it makes a good story. I don't know what the other woman is thinking; maybe since her visa expired, it's a green card wedding? It sounds like the guy is a player and you seriously dodged a bullet.

I had a similar experience with a guy I had been dating long distance and casually. We had gone on a trip together and I could tell he wasn't really into it, so I wasn't surprised that he stopped contacting me after we got back from our trip. I was surprised, though, to get a wedding invitation a few months later via an email blast. Needless to say, I did not attend!
