The operative word here is jeans, its the tight waistband. typically high waisted tights are incredibly comfortable.

I’m so happy to hear that I’m not the only one. I can’t wear those jeans and it hurts me to put any light pressure on my belly. I’m trying to find the cause or the answer to this condition so bad.

Yes! Weirdly though it doesn’t happen EVERY TIME. I get a sharp or stabbing sensation in my stomach. And it’s usually only the left side. This type of pain only ever happens when I wear high waisted pants. I don’t understand!!

This is a real thing, I just read about it the other day. I think it’s more from shapewear/compression leggings and too-tight pants rather than just high-waisted jeans. But it can cause abdominal pain and other symptoms.

They look great, on the correct body type - generally taller women. and they'd don't squeeze your organs together

The correct body type for high waist as well as leggings: any skinny girl under the age of 9. The end.

I love my high-waisted jeans. But I have long legs, and am tall. not everyone can wear them. On the total flip side, I detest low-rise anything. Because of my long legs, the "waist" hits me smack in the middle of my hip bones and it hurts. Also you have to have zero loose skin in that general area, or you'll have a massive muffin top.

I have never heard of this or experienced it and I’m not tall 5’3’’). How is this possible unless they are squeezing you and too small?

Yup! I'm also short-waisted and struggle with waistbands of all types. My favorite leggings (Teeki) have an elastic-free waistband, so the fabric just kind of rests against my stomach instead of squeezing. Downside is that they only work for lounging or light yoga, nothing high-impact. Looks like the brand is discontinued, but this website suggests others with a the same construction:
