Considering maybe Crate and Barrel 400 threadcount percale? Brooklinen but their thread count also isn't that high? Company Store?

I bought a king set for around $90 at target. I think they were threshold because that sounds familiar. They are both crisp and heavy. I love sleeping under just the flat sheet at night l, it’s perfect.

I bought heavy white ones at Costco. I think they were $89.99 for a queen set. I don’t recall the brand, but they are amazing and the only sheets DH doesn’t complain about.

Also made in China, unfortunately. I was going to order a set but the LL Bean rep via their chat function confirmed they're made in China.

Just pointing this out for those for who it is important.


I bought these and they ripped in the wash. Get Brooklinen the lux ones.

I love my Redland sheets! I ordered them because I liked that they are made, start to finish, in the US. Thick, soft percale — they remind me of sheets my Mom had when I was a kid. Those lasted forever and just got better with age, and I have high hopes for these.

OP here, just reporting back that I ended up getting a set of the LL Bean sunwashed percale sheets and I love them! I don't find the cotton wrinkles very much at all out of the wash and they are nice and smooth and cool. Far less wrinkly than my old pottery barn cotton sheets. Not sure how the sunwashed version stacks up against the regular ll bean percale that wirecutter reviewed, maybe I'll get around to getting a set of those for comparison one day.

One person's crinkle is another person's crisp. The thicker a crisp sheet is, the more likely you are to get crinkling.

If you want something silky, get sateen.
