It's not like the SOL with a "highest score." The kids' score continues to go up into the next grade level, but your teacher can see percentile for the students' current grade.
What percentile or level should the score be for an AAP kid? If a kid scores "approaching grade level" or "on grade level," does that mean the kid doesn't belong in AAP?
Nobody knows and nobody cares. The Iready test is uninterpretable. Which explains why teachers don't pay much attention to it.
The full report isn't provided by default to parents, you need to request it from the teacher - so far they've always been willing to send me a copy. Then you need to figure out your child's percentiles. Then you really do have potentially useful information about how your child is performing. I've adjusted what instruction I provide at home based on it.
