Your score-to-percentiles are available here, BTW: http://fldoe.org/core/fileparse.php/7539/urlt/i-Ready-Table-6.pdf

The chart above is from 2016, but the vendor says that these are still current. http://education.ohio.gov/getattachment/Topics/Common-Application-for-Requests-for-Qualifications/iReady-VSF-19-20.pdf

It's not like the SOL with a "highest score." The kids' score continues to go up into the next grade level, but your teacher can see percentile for the students' current grade.

What percentile or level should the score be for an AAP kid? If a kid scores "approaching grade level" or "on grade level," does that mean the kid doesn't belong in AAP?

Nobody knows and nobody cares. The Iready test is uninterpretable. Which explains why teachers don't pay much attention to it.

The full report isn't provided by default to parents, you need to request it from the teacher - so far they've always been willing to send me a copy. Then you need to figure out your child's percentiles. Then you really do have potentially useful information about how your child is performing. I've adjusted what instruction I provide at home based on it.

Not PP. Similiar question but for ELA. My kid is in the “Early” range for his grade according to the link posted above. I am curious about where this falls in comparison to other 4th grade AAP kids at the beginning of year.

I am curious as well. My DS said he got 5th grade math questions such as fraction multiplications and exponents with order of operations which he practices at home.

Here are the score placement levels:

Hi DS said he quickly answered multiplication and divisions and then he started getting complex fractions up to prime numbers.

Teachers can figure that out without Iready.

Not necessarily with the more quiet kids.
